Edit
Following Roland Deschain's journey along the shore of the Western Sea, the gunslinger begins training Susannah Holmes and Eddie Dean as members of his ka-tet while his own mind comes slowly unhinged because of the temporal paradox he caused during his interactions with Jack Mort; in New York City of 1977, Jake Chambers suffers similar psychological deterioration until he discovers a way to reunite with Roland, and the ka-tet is completed with the addition of Oy. The group continues on to Lud, where they confront the Tick-Tock Man before boarding the schizophrenic monorail Blaine.
