The Mist is a novella written by Stephen King. It was first published in an anthology named Dark Forces in 1980. It was later published in book Skeleton Crew in 1985.
Plot
The story is set in a town called Bridgton, Maine. After a thunderstorm, a very thick supernatural fog covers the small town, trapping several people inside a store. With the fog comes several kinds of strange creatures. Otherworldly beasts. Barricaded, they engage in struggles that determine their fate.
Adaption
The story was adapted into the supernatural thriller film of the same name as well as a shortlived tv series.
