"The House on Maple Street" is a short story written by Stephen King that was first published in his 1993 collection Nightmares and Dreamscapes.

After a summer spent abroad, the four Bradbury children return to their home on Maple Street and discover that something is growing upwards through the house's walls from below, replacing wood and plaster with metal and machinery, counting down to some cataclysmic event.

The audiobook version of this story, in the Nightmares and Dreamscapes collection, is read by Tabitha King, Stephen King's wife.
