Robert "Rob" Lefferts is a patron of Bill Steiner's Liberty City Loan & Pawn. He has worked at Tape Engine, a producer of audiobooks, since 1975.
He met Rose McClendon at the Pawn Shop in the Spring of 1994, and offered her a job reading novels for audiobook recording. On June 3rd, he offered McClendon "a more solid business arrangement."
