People, Places and Things was self-published in 1960 by Stephen King's own publishing company at the time - Triad & Gaslight Books. It is a collection of 18 single page stories that were co-authored at the age of 13 with school friend Chris Chelsey. Of roughly ten original copies, only one is said to exist: it remains in the possession of Stephen King. The included stories are:

* Published in 1993 in the Market Guide for Young Riders - 4th Edition, by Writer's Digest Books. Flip Magazine ceased publication before it was scheduled to publish the story in 1986.
** Published in 1994 in Famous Monsters of Filmland - No. 202 under the title The Killer. The original story was in the point of view of the main character, but when Stephen King was 14, he rewrote it into third person view to submit it to Spacemen (Famous Monsters companion magazine) in 1963 who rejected it for publication.
