Needful Things is the 29th book published by Stephen King; it was his 25th novel, and the 20th written under his own name. The book was published by Viking in October of 1991.

In the small town of Castle Rock, Maine a new shop called Needful Things opens. The owner of the shop is called Leland Gaunt.

Every customer seems to find the one thing they always wanted. The objects are always cheap, and they only need to do Gaunt a "favor".
