Mike Noonan is the brother of Sid Noonan, the uncle of Patrick Noonan, the son of Jack Noonan, the grandson of Paul Noonan, great-grandson of James Noonan, and widower of Johanna Arlen.

He is a novelist, and a former reporter for the Derry News.
