Martha Lacy is the blind widow of Warden Dale Lacy.
Biography
Martha Lacy lived with her husband in Castle Rock, Maine. On the day Lacy committed suicide, he served Martha breakfast in the bed.[1] In the days following Lacy's suicide, she was visited by Henry Deaver who was looking into the Warden and why he kept a secret prisoner at Shawshank State Prison. He did not tell her his name, merely that he was a lawyer looking to sue Northeast Correctional and she allowed him access to Lacy's home office. However, Martha's neighbor called her, and informed her that visitor was Henry Deaver. Martha, who had once been a member of Reverend Matthew Deaver's congregation, told him to leave.[2]
