John Norman was the son of Jesse Norman and the younger brother of James Norman; he lived in Delain. He and his brother worked as scouts for a long-haul caravan that was ambushed by slow mutants on its way to Tejuas. John met Roland Deschain while both were being tended to by the Little Sisters in Eluria.
