George Deville is a convict from Maine and a minor character in the horror novel, It. Guilty of familicide, he killed his wife as well as his four children in the winter of 1962 (it is never elaborated in detail how he had exactly committed the murders).

He is currently serving time at the Juniper Hill mental asylum in Augusta (along with Benny Beaulieu, Henry Bowers, Franklin D’Cruz, and Jimmy Donlin).

It is vaguely suggested in the novel that George may have in fact been religious, as he would often wear a wooden crucifix when around his inmates and the ward’s sentinels.
